One of the experiences that shaped how I work the most was teaching Linux and web programming. I was not only expected to present the material, but also to help students understand why things are done in a certain way.
What I Did
- Built lesson plans that were easy to follow and practice
- Added hands-on exercises so the material did not stop at theory
- Kept the class rhythm active and discussion-friendly
- Mentored 54 students across 16 sessions
The Bigger Lesson
Teaching forced me to explain concepts in a simpler and more structured way. It also reminded me that documentation, practical examples, and a clear learning path are often more important than a complicated explanation.
How It Changed My Work
This experience made me more deliberate when organizing material, understanding user needs, and writing solutions that other people can follow without extra interpretation.
